Vettel, Webber donate helmets to auction

3 December 2013 – Red Bull duo Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber have donated race helmets used during the 2013 Formula 1 season to an upcoming auction in aid of spinal cord charity Wings for Life.

Vettel's chosen helmet was used for this year's German Grand Prix. The event, which took place at the Nürburgring, yielded the first home victory of his Formula 1 career.

Webber has picked helmets worn at the Belgian and Italian Grands Prix, where he finished fifth and third respectively. The Australian, who is now preparing for his sportscar assault with Porsche, has also donated a worn and signed Alpinestars race suit.

The lots will be put up for auction at Bonhams' traditional end-of-year sale of Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia in Oxford on December 9.
